Greek Beef Skillet
I got this recipe from my aunt Debbilyn and is a staple at our house. The ingredient combo sounds weird at first, but is really good.
1 lb ground beef
1 cup chopped onion
1 clove garlic
2 cups prepared spaghetti sauce
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp dried oregano leaves
8 oz cooked pasta (penne, rotini, or gemelli)
1 cup crumbled feta cheese
Cook pasta - while cooking, in a large skillet cook onion and beef. Add garlic and saute 3 minutes. Stir in spaghetti sauce and spices. Simmer 10 minutes. Stir in cooked pasta and feta, heat 1-2 minutes. Serve immediatly. You can also layer the pasta, meat and feta on top.
